Orestimba High School Credit Recovery
What is Credit Recovery/ Edgenuity?
Edgenuity is an online credit recovery program offered by Orestimba High School. Students who need to remediate academic deficiencies (failed classes) may retake courses in an online format. Students work with their Learning Director to determine academic need and enroll in the appropriate course(s). Students enrolled in credit recovery via Edgenuity are supervised by a credentialed teacher and are required to attend an after-school credit recovery class from 3pm-4pm once a week until completion of course(s).
Who can take credit recovery courses via Edgenuity?
Students who can answer yes to the following questions are eligible to take an Edgenuity course:
Am I behind in credits for graduation and/or need to retake courses for A-G?
Am I willing to stay after school to work on credit recovery and check in with my teacher?
Am I able to work independently to complete coursework?
Am I comfortable using the Internet as a means of learning, communication and research?
Am I motivated to work hard so I can graduate from high school?
***Juniors and Seniors have priority, Sophomores may enroll in Credit Recovery if there is space.
What are the expectations?
After you have been enrolled in the online course, you will be expected to regularly attend your after-school credit recovery class once a week for one hour (per subject) and complete assignments daily. Although you may work on the course lessons from home, all assessments must be taken in class.
What if I feel like Edgenuity is not for me?
Credit recovery via an online format may not be a good fit for all students, please see your Learning Director so that you can explore other options to remediate credit.
How do I sign up?
Students will need to contact their assigned Learning Director and get the required credit recovery contract. A parent signature is required before students can be enrolled. Student's can request to meet with their Learning Director using this link (Please note: students must be signed in to their school email address to complete this form): https://forms.gle/ZBA4dvfjNeHYgqBx5

The NCLUSD 16th Annual Dig Pink Volleyball Event is just around the corner on October 2, 2025, at Orestimba High School. The Dig Pink event supports the Side Out Foundation for the awareness and research of breast cancer. The event kicks off with Yolo and GMS volleyball teams starting at 3:30PM, followed by the OHS and GHS teams. Last year NCLUSD ranked #1 in the state of California for our Dig Pink Donation which was over $18,000! Please look for your student’s t-shirt order form or you can use the online order link below for a small additional service fee. All orders will be delivered to your student’s school. T-shirt order forms are due on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 3PM. If you would like to showcase a business or honor a loved one, the cost to sponsor our Dig Pink event is $100 and a free t-shirt is included. The name of the business or loved one will be printed on the back of all district shirts and displayed in the gym the day of the event. Linguica takeout tickets are being sold by OHS and Yolo volleyball players for $12. Any questions, feel free to contact me at Yolo Middle School.
