1. dukE uNIVERSITY SUMMER PROGRAMS

We invite you to imagine yourself at Duke this summer if you are: seeking to gain academic credit from renowned Duke faculty,  interested in engaging deeply with a particular subject,  spending the summer enjoying residential activities on Duke’s historic West Campus, seeking to prepare for college and to create an international network of peers. Explore Duke University Summer Programs

  1. College at Duke (four-week academic credit program for US students currently in grades 10 or 11 and international students currently in grades 10 – 12)
  2. Summer Academy - Traditional (three-week academic enrichment program for students currently in grades 9 – 12)

2. wENTWORTH INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SUMMER PROGRAM

Students, are you looking for a summer program on a college campus? Wentworth offers 4-week summer program usually in July. This opportunity is for students who have an interested in: designing and constructing a full-scale structure, temporary art or temporary installation, creating a community-based project , earning college credit,  living on a college campus in Boston (optional). Explore Wentworth Summer Program.

4. Boston University Rise internship/PRACTICUM 

Students who are passionate about the sciences and currently in their junior year of high school are invited to apply for the Research in Science & Engineering (RISE) program. Spend six weeks at BU conducting university laboratory research with some of the nation's brightest scientific minds, and advance your knowledge and skills in the sciences. Explore Rise Internship/Practicum

5. Massachusetts institute of technology - MITES Summer program

Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science (MITES) is a rigorous six-week residential academic enrichment program at MIT for rising high school seniors - many whom come from underrepresented or undeserved communities - who have a strong academic record and are interested in studying and exploring careers in science and engineering from across the country. Explore MITES

6. The Science and engineering apprenticeship program (SEAP)

The Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) provides an opportunity for high school students to participate in research at the Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory during the summer. The goals of SEAP are to encourage participating high school students to pursue science and engineering careers, to further their education via mentoring by laboratory personnel and their participation in research, and to make them aware of DoN research and technology efforts, which can lead to employment within the DoN. Explore SEAP

7. The summer science program

SSP is an immersion into experimental science, designed to challenge and inspire talented rising seniors from around the world. Working in teams of three, participants complete a research project from beginning to end: either in Astrophysics – near-earth asteroid imaging and orbit determination – or (new in 2017) Biochemistry – fungal enzyme inhibition and drug discovery. Each team acquires its own original data and performs its own analysis. Field trips and guest speakers round out an intense 39-day schedule. 8. university of wisconsin-madison engineering summer program

Engineering Summer Program (ESP) is a fully funded, six-week residential program for students who will be high school juniors or seniors in the upcoming school year. The ESP course curriculum includes math, physics, chemistry, engineering, and technical communications. Other structured programming such as industry site visits, field trips, guest lectures, workshops, and faculty mentoring will help students gain a better understanding of the field of engineering and its applications. Explore ESP

9. Worcester polytechnic institute - frontiers summer program 

There are regular pre-college summer programs, and then there’s Frontiers. Enjoy hands-on classes and labs, an exploration of the humanities, and a full-range of activities that make for much more than an academic experience.Frontiers offers soon-to-be high school juniors and seniors two or four weeks of hands-on classes and labs, plus an exploration of the humanities. The UCLA Summer College Immersion Program (SCIP) is designed for exceptionally high-achieving high school students to provide a real-world introduction to an academic life at UCLA, one of the world's greatest research universities, where students discover their purpose and prepare themselves to make a meaningful difference in society. SCIP emulates the UCLA undergraduate experience, which is academically enriched by the opportunities not only to pursue a particular discipline in depth but also to access a broad range of UCLA's academic expertise through lectures, workshops, and seminars, with the campus support and resources that empower students to integrate balance and thrive in the face of challenges. Admission to SCIP is highly competitive, and applicants will be required to meet specific academic thresholds. Precollege Summer Institutes are designed for advanced high school students who wish to gain academically challenging college-level experience. Most of our programs offer mandatory housing. Explore UCLA Summer Programs
