OHS Summer School 2019

All classes will begin on June 3, 2019 and will run through June 28, 2019. Summer school is the perfect time for students to make up a graduation requirement they did not successfully pass or make up  A-G credit for university requirements. If students failed (received an F grade for their semester grade) in a graduation requirement, they are required to make up the course. Summer school availability is limited and is filled on a first come first served basis. Priority will be given to students making up graduation credits. Please make sure your students turn in their summer school registration form as soon as possible to Mrs. Doerksen in the Counseling Center to secure a spot in summer school.

Students are to attend Monday through Friday

Time Slots: 8am-10am or 10am-12pm

Please note: Summer School is a credit recovery program. Classes can be taken to meet Orestimba High School graduation requirements as well as University A-G requirements. Each class is worth 5 credits if successfully completed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Melissa Doerksen at (209) 862-1873 or mdoerksen@nclusd.k12.ca.us

SAT Test Prep Summer Course

Orestimba High School offers a summer SAT Test Prep Course for all current 9-11th grade students. Juniors will have priority for the course. The course is free of charge and will be taught by Mrs. Blankenship, an English teacher and Ms. Felber, a math teacher at Orestimba High School. Although participation is voluntary, we ask that your student participates only if they can be present every day of the academy. The SAT is standardized exam required by most 4 year universities for admission and used by community colleges for Math and English placement levels. The academy usually take place in the summer Monday through Friday from 8am-12pm.
