Thanks to all who participated and helped out in some way to make this a very successful event in our district. NCLUSD was 1st in the state and 5th in the nation!! Thanks to Angie Mackovich at Yolo and Vicki Felber at OHS for organizing such a great event that fundraised $8,562 for such a good cause. All sites came together as a team to make this a success!
NCLUSD is on cycle for this school year to complete the California Healthy Kids Survey in grades 5th, 7th and 9th, 11th . The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is the largest statewide survey of resiliency, protective factors, and risk behaviors in the nation. The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is a powerful tool for use in Grades 4-12 that can help schools and districts accurately identify areas of student and school strengths and weaknesses, and address related needs. The opportunity it provides students and staff to communicate confidentially their perceptions and concerns about the school and its environment in a neutral context, as neither the school, nor district is being rated or evaluated based on the results. The District and schools will share the results with our school-community.
